Meet the Team | Will Maley

This year we’re introducing a series on who makes us Benjamin Obdyke. We want to highlight the people that represent our brand every day by educating the community on what it means to Build Better.

Who is Will Maley?

Will Maley joined the Benjamin Obdyke team in August 2019. As the Southeast District Sales Manager, Will primarily serves the Carolinas, Florida, and Texas markets. From the dry parts of the Texas desert to the windy coastal waterfront properties in the Carolinas – Will has worked with Benjamin Obdyke customers on various projects.

In his time at Obdyke, Will has worked with many high-end custom home builders to develop high-performance assemblies designed to last. In his role, he is often bouncing between job sites to lend a helping hand and provide continued education to contractors and installers on how they can Build Better.

“Part of what I love doing is connecting with building professionals who are passionate about working with high-performance products and systems. Not only can I help guide them into choosing the best moisture management system for their project, but I can be there in person as a resource for them and to see it through,” said Will.

What is his Favorite Project?

Will works in various climates, making each project unique in its own right. Often, he finds his favorite projects are the ones he can bring the most value to by being the weatherization resource they need to protect the exterior wall system against moisture.

A recent project Will has been a part of that is a particular favorite is a waterfront family compound on Lake Keowee in South Carolina. Will worked alongside Gabriel Builders on this project to provide a two-step Benjamin Obdyke system—consisting of FlatWrap® HP housewrap with Slicker® MAX rainscreen — to elevate the water management behind the cedar siding and stone veneer.

What He Looks to Accomplish in 2023

The Benjamin Obdyke sales team has been growing, and Will’s goal is to use his four years of experience at Obdyke to help guide the new team members and get them passionate about Building Better.

Here to Help You Transform Your Craft

At Benjamin Obdyke, we strive to help you Transform Your Craft. But what does that mean? According to Will, “When you transform your craft, that means you’re ready to take high-performance building to the next level. Whether you’re an architect, builder, or a lumberyard – when you choose to use or sell products that will make the building envelope as good as possible, you’re choosing to Transform Your Craft”.

What He Does Outside of Obdyke

Will is an outdoorsman at heart. Living in the coastal area of South Carolina, he often takes advantage of the good weather. Most times, you can find him golfing, fishing, or hunting.
