BenWrap is a high-quality weather-resistant barrier (WRB) designed to keep moisture from entering the structural wall. You might know it by its former name — FlatWrap HP; it’s the same great, high-performing product, just with a facelift. We rebranded FlatWrap because it felt too generic; we wanted a stronger connection to the Benjamin Obdyke brand, while keeping the same trusted performance you know and love.   

The name simplification also allows for easier communication, specifying, and ordering.

Now, the moment you’ve been waiting for. AeroNet is a next-generation ventilation mat that advances airflow and drainage performance. For years, entangled matrix rainscreens and underlayments have been the industry standard, (and we still love and offer our entangled matrix products like SlickerMax), but now we’re ready to change the game even more. After years of testing, experimenting, and gathering real-world feedback, we’ve engineered a rolled matrix solution unlike anything you’ve seen before. We put our knowledge and expertise to the test and set out to develop a product with superior compression resistance and flexibility for quick, easy installation.  

AeroNet combines cutting-edge, grid-style rainscreen technology that maximizes the drying potential of the wall or roof system with a lightweight, flexibile design suitable for a rolled product. How BenWrap + AeroNet Work Together to Combat Moisture Intrusion  

In simplest terms, BenWrap blocks external moisture from entering the wall structure, and AeroNet provides the drainage and airflow space for that moisture to dry out or drain away. So, what makes this system really stand out from the others?   

Rainscreens rely on strong compression resistance to keep their drainage and ventilation gap from collapsing under cladding pressure, but many traditional products struggle to maintain that space consistently — especially with sharp or heavy materials like fiber cement. BenWrap and AeroNet install easily with cap fasteners. Pair them with our flashing products to prevent compatibility issues (such as those that could occur with butyl-based flashings). This combination helps maintain full system performance and protects warranty eligibility. All standard installation best practices still apply, including proper overlaps, correct integration at windows and doors, and maintaining a continuous drainage plane.
