Scott Wells, a THISisCarpentry contributor, recently installed HydroGap Drainable Housewrap on one of his customer’s homes. With the new code requirement in Oregon to have a 75% drainage rate in your wall assembly, he’s started seeing new drain wrap products in his market. He chose to use HydroGap because of the 1mm spacers that create a drainage gap, eliminating moisture from the wall. Also, being a 5 foot wide roll, it’s easy to install with just one person.
